Before joining AP4 Group in 2021, Mr. David was CFO and Board Director of Allied Power Group (“APG”), a premier independent power generation repair & services provider. Before APG, Mr. David was Vice President with Turnbridge Capital Partners, a middle-market sector-focused private equity investment firm.
While at Turnbridge, Mr. David served on several Boards and in several interim executive roles while originating and executing new platform and add-on acquisition investments. Before attending business school full-time, Mr. David served in finance & accounting roles at MarkWest Energy Partners and KPMG.
Mr. David’s educational background is a testament to his commitment to excellence. He holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Management from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, a renowned institution for business education.

His diverse experience, including being the Director of Operations for Fieldcore, part of GE Vernova, where he was a key stakeholder in the startup of a new Field Services organization in North America, instills confidence in his ability to handle various aspects of our business.
Most recently, he was the President of a private equity organization in the utility infrastructure market, where he led a team of 250 union and non-union service employees across the United States. Shawn is a proven leader focused on strong customer relationships and bringing dedication and commitment to an organization built on a foundation of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

With over 30 years of experience in the industry, John is recognized as a subject matter expert in gas and steam turbine operations, digital controls, DLN Combustion systems, excitation, network OT and IT systems, and data encryption technology.
Before his tenure at TC&E, Mr. Downing honed his technical expertise and gained hands-on experience with General Electric. As a gas and steam turbine installation, commissioning, and startup engineer, he was involved in over 20 turbine plant startups.
In 2018, he co-founded Encrypted Grid LLC, a company that provides KLOCH encryption technology to the bulk electric system. His career began in the US Navy, where he maintained and operated shipboard power generation and propulsion systems for eight years. He has since been involved in projects and services at hundreds of power plants across five continents, ensuring reliable and secure power for millions of customers. Mr. Downing’s career is marked by his service in the United States Navy, a testament to his discipline and dedication. His distinguished career spans decades in the power generation industry, where he has made significant contributions.

Before joining AP4, Hughes founded HTS in 2014. He has more than 25 years experience in the power industry, commissioning and maintaining gas turbines in the 50-200MW range and steam turbines in the
35 – 450MW range. Holding positions as Commissioning Engineer, Commissioning Manager, Plant Manager, and Project engineer for industry-leading companies such as ABB and Alstom.

He started his career at Westinghouse as a field engineer inspecting, upgrading, and performing as a technical advisor.

Before Joining AP4 Group, Mr. Azar worked at as CISO at GloriFi, Senior Manager of Cybersecurity and Technology at Avanade, Founder and CEO/CTO of BHNV Ventures & CyberHub USA leading multiple product development teams from conception to sale.
Mr. Azar attended University of Colorado in Boulder and Devry University and is an ISC2 Member, Host of the CyberHub Podcast and named in the 40 under 40 list by Top Cyber News.
In 2023, Mr. Leyton was appointed General Manager of AP+M, overseeing the continued success and growth of the organization’s parts distribution arm.
Prior to his General Manager appointment in 2023, Samuel D. Leyton joined GTC Control Solutions in August 2008 in a Sales and Marketing role. In 2010, he was appointed Services Manager to lead the newly established Services Division. In conjunction with his service manager responsibilities, Mr. Leyton was named Senior Business Development Leader in 2018.
Focusing on the Southeast USA, Mr.
Leyton grew sales in his assigned region by more than 50% and increased Services revenues by 10x. Before joining the AP4 Group, Mr. Leyton was a Senior Account Manager for a large ground transportation and logistics company in London, England. Mr. Leyton holds A-levels in Business Studies, Accounts, and Information Communication Technology from Colchester Sixth Form College.
